Our Delicious Story
Our founder wanted to be a chef when he grew up. He worked in many kitchens & restaurants in the DFW area and trained under several amazing chefs. However, instead of continuing to work in the food business, he went into technology and spent 28 years bringing websites and online applications to life. Now he has come back to realize his childhood dreams.
In March of 2024, Macon Ranch was born, but after several months we made the decision to move to Columbia, Missouri where we changed our name and menu to Smash & Dash Grill.
We use as many local & Missouri-made ingredients in our burgers and chicken sandwiches as possible. Our beef, chicken, & pork is 100% sourced from the student-run butcher block The Mizzou Meat Market which means that all of our proteins are raised in and around Columbia. We are working with several produce growers to offer local produce as well as growing some of our own (such as our fresh-sliced hydroponic jalapenos).
